THE EXPENDABLES "LEE CHRISTMAS" BY ART FIGURES

Lee Christmas is a former SAS operative and an expert in hand to hand combat particularly with knives. After leaving the military, Lee became a mercenary and joined the team of Barney Ross. Lee Christmas was portrayed by actor Jason Statham.

Head sculpt of Lee Christmas wearing a black beret.

Lee Christmas came with his body armor. He also came with a Beretta 92FS side arm, although I think Lee Christmas used the Beretta 92G in the movie.

At the back of the armor Lee stores several extra knives.

Most people would keep a pistol holster at the hip or thigh but not Lee Christmas. Lee favors the use of throwing knives as opposed to a pistol. Lee Claims that he can beat Barney’s quick draw with his throwing knives.

At the back we can see that each holster carries two knives.

Lee holds a Beretta 92FS in one hand and his signature knife at the other.

Among the members of the team Lee is the most accurate guy when it comes to throwing knives.

Lee came with six metal knives and his Noveske Rifleworks Diplomat. The Diplomat uses 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.

For Jason Statham fans click here to see a review on Soldier Story toys Future combatsystem testing team in ACU which also features the head sculpt of Jason Statham as seen above.

DELTA FORCE SGT. FIRST CLASS SANDERSON BY ART FIGURES

The figure is obviously based from the character of Sgt. First Class Jeff Sanderson from the blockbuster movie Black Hawk Down. SFC Sanderson is played by actor William Fichtner. Sgt Sanderson is a member of the elite delta force, task to secure and extract vital personnel of the war lord Mohammed Farrah Aidid. He is a courageous soldier and always leads his men by example. Sgt. Sanderson’s character is based from a real soldier, SFC Paul Howe. Let’s check him out.
The box is nice and sturdy with magnets on the flop to secure the cover. And on the inside the figure is secured in a foam tray. A simple but collector friendly box.

Sgt. Sanderson out of the box. He is using the older three color dessert pattern uniform, the standard uniform at that time. Also provided are body armour, knee pads and boots.

Well made and detailed tactical vest and other accessories.

Back side showing other gear that he carries.

Closer look at his butt pack, water canteen and thigh holster.

Not an exact look alike of William Fichtner but the sculpt is nice and may represent other operator.

For his primary weapon the Sgt. Uses a Colt M727 carbine. A M1911A1 as his secondary and he also carry a Remington 870 shotgun for breaching doors.
The M1911A1 is an iconic weapon. It was designed by John Browning in 1904 and is still used today. It uses .45 ACP cartridges in a single stack seven round magazine.

The Remington mode 870 pump action shotgun. It is commonly used as a breaching weapon.

Delta Operators prefer shorter barrel weapons like this Colt Model 727 carbine. Other operators are seen using Colt M4’s and CAR-15’s.

Closer look at his Colt Model 727.
It is fitted with Aimpoint red dot scope and Surefire tactical light.

PUNISHER 2 BY ART FIGURES

It's been some time since my last post, had some distractions lately but here's one of the more recent hauls I had. Check out another Punisher from the company Art Figures. This time its from the first Punisher movie. Art Figures first released the Punisher from the second movie, check out the other Punisher figure here.

Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher is a former special forces instructor turned vigilante when his family was murdered. After the tragic incident, Frank Castle took on the task of eliminating criminals using brutal but efficient tactics.

Box art of the Avenger Punisher figure.

Head Sculpt of Frank Castle played by actor Thomas Jane.
Not a perfect match but I think his in there somehow.

The Punisher with leather shoulder holster

Another Colt on a drop down holster

In the first movie Frank used his father's twin
Colt .45 M1911A1 pistol

Frank with shotgun

Mossberg 590 compact shotgun

When the going gets though, the weapons gets bigger.
From his special forces background Frank is accustomed to the M4A1.

Close up of his M4A1 with M203 grenade launcher, scope and light.
The light was an addition from the spare box.

NAVY SEAL SPECIAL A.K.A. LT. WATERS BY ART FIGURES

This is my second purchase from Art Figures. He is a Navy SEAL member and resembles Lt. A. K. Waters from the movie Tears of the sun. The movie was released back in 2003 and focuses on a group of SEAL's that performed a rescue mission in Nigeria. This figure's uniform, weaponry and accessories resemble that of what Lt. Waters had in the movie. Plus the head sculpt looks more or less like Bruce Willis, so it is safe to say that this figure was based on the character of Lt. Waters.

Here is the box. It is similar to the packaging of its first release "The Punisher".
As you open the box, a nice background photo is printed on the flap.

Lt. A. K. Waters had a black under shirt, woodland BDU and a weathered boots.

I think the Lt. loves knives. He had a total of three different kinds on him.
One is located on his right thigh, the second on the lower left leg and the third is attached to his harness.
He also came with a left drop down holster for his M1911 side arm.

Lt. geared up and ready to go.
He uses the Load Carrying Equipment (LCE) with two small arms ammunition pouch, canteen pouch,
a pouch for his radio and a butt pack.

Back side showing his butt pack, water canteen and radio.

Close up of his M1911 pistol with suppressor.
I don't know why they provided this side arm because in the movie he was using MK23 SOCOM.

Head sculpt close to actor Bruce Willis.
Nice detail in his ear piece.

His M4A1 with a scope and only two spare mags.
I think additional ammo would be great.

I added a fore grip and a laser pointer to his M4A1.

He had bendy hands with finger less gloves.

PUNISHER BY ART FIGURES

Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher is a former special forces instructor turned vigilante when his family was murdered. After the tragic incident, Frank Castle took on the task of eliminating criminals using brutal but efficient tactics.

This is my first figure from the company Art Figures and it looks promising, above is the box sturdy enough to protect the Punisher and his equipments.

Here is Frank checking his vest and getting ready for some action.

Close up of the impressive head sculpt of the Irish actor Ray Stevenson as Punisher.

Frank's weapon of choice twin M9 Beretta's with 2 extra clips.

Another of the Punisher's side arm.

Combat knife strapped in his boot.

And his M4 rifle with scope. Though not accurate from the one used in the movie, still a nice addition to the figure.

Lastly the figure came with a base.

Punisher posing with his shinny M9s.

Here's a pose with his M4 rifle.

Another look at the rifle.

He also came with 2 small pouches that can be attached to his belt.
The bigger pack was an addition.

All in all the figure is good with decent amount of equipment and an additional base. The head sculpt was good and resembled the actor. The gears were well detailed. Minor issues are the M4 rifle and Sig side arm which are made well but not movie accurate. Nice job Art Figures! Looking forward to your up coming releases.
