DCUC HAL JORDAN

Harold "Hal" Jordan was created in the Silver Age of Comic Books  by John Broome and Gil Kane, and made his first appearance in Showcase  #22 (October 1959) to replace the original Green Lantern Alan Scott  from the Golden Age of Comic Books. [from:wiki]

Before joining the Green Lantern Corps, Hal Jordan was an air force test pilot. After Abin Sur crash landed on Earth and was mortally wounded, he asked his ring to look for an honest and fearless being to take his place as a green lantern. The ring found Hal Jordan. After joining the Green Lantern Hal was mentored by one of the corps senior member Sinestro. Here he meets other corps member such as Kilowag and Tomar-re. While under the command of Sinestro, Hal noticed that Sinestro was using his powers for his own benefits. Sinestro was also cruel and ruthless towards other beings. Soon Hal found out about Sinestro’s plan to use the yellow power rings to over throw the Guardians and take control of the corps and the world. Hal sets out to defeat Sinestro. It ended when Sinestro was defeated and was imprisoned. [Base from the Green Lantern: First Flight movie].
