DC COLLECTIBLES NEW 52 WONDER WOMAN

Wonder Woman first saw publication on 1941 in All Star Comics number 8. She was created by William Marston. In the resent reboot of DC comics called The New 52, Wonder Woman was among the titles to be included. She also appears as a founding member of the New 52 Justice League.

Diana Princess of the amazons lived in the island of Themyscira. She is a fierce warrior skilled in combat and in addition to her skills she has several powerful weapons at her disposal. Among her equipment is the magic Lasso of Truth, anyone bound by the lasso is bound to speak only the truth and the lasso is unbreakable. And her signature bracelets which can deflect bullets and is said to be unbreakable. Diana also posses super human strength and agility. Outside her homeland Diana is known as The Wonder Woman.

Excellent face for Wonder Woman sculpted by Jack Mathews.

Diana’s only accessory is her sword.
She can be seen in comic books using this sword quite often.

Close up of her hand and sword.
Note the finger nails with red nail polish. A nice touch added to our heroine.

Her Lasso of Truth. The lasso was molded so it can’t be removed. I was a bit disappointed here; I prefer the gold thread used in other Wonder Woman figures.

Wonder Woman’s arm band.

This Wonder Woman figure depicting the New 52 look is a must have for Wonder Woman fans and Justice League collectors alike.

Aside from the lasso, I liked the figure. The sculpt was great and the paint applications are spot on. Nice job on this figure DC.

NAKED SNAKE BY HOT TOYS PART 1

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is an action role playing game released in 2004. Like the other Metal Gear games, players rely on stealth and espionage throughout the time. Although the character Snake is highly skilled in close combat and other small arm weapon, sneaking past a guard and using camouflage to get by undetected is his bread and butter. Basically Snake’s methods are the exact opposite of Rambo’s. One thing in common though is that both characters are as though as nails, able to overcome physical and mental interrogations and are able to survive in the jungle with only a knife. MGS3’s story focuses on Snake and his mentor The Boss. Go and check the game I guarantee you’d love it, but for now take a look at Hot Toys' Naked Snake sneaking suit version.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY SERIES 3: CLOWN THUG WITH KNIFE

This is it, the last figure for DC Collectible Arkham City series 3. This time it’s a variant of the clown thug. From my point of view their sculpt from foot to head are 100% similar. The obvious differences are their color schemes and their weapon of choice. So is it worth getting both of them? I say yes, simply because Gotham can never have enough regular bad guys. Plus the sculpt and the paint application in both figures are great.

Clown thug with knife

The thug with a bat had orange and violet color for his mask while this guy came in bright green and red. Both color schemes are nice but I personally like this one better, maybe because of the red nose.

Same Arkham logo in both figures.

As I have mentioned the sculpt of the figure is identical but the color scheme is different. The thug with the bat came with a dark brown pants and a black boots. In these figure we get redish pants and brown boots.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY SERIES 3: CLOWN THUG WITH BAT

The fifth figure in DC Collectible Arkham City series 3 is surprisingly a regular guy. The clown thug came in 2 variants one with the baseball bat and the other came with a knife. For this review will take a look at the thug with the bat.

After DC Collectibles released most of the more famous characters from the game Arkham city, it is nice to see a regular nameless guy such as a clown from the Joker’s gang. It is customary for any good guy in this case Batman to face several bad guys before finally facing off with the big boss. With the release of the clown thugs we can finally make an army of clowns together with Mr. J to battle the many versions of Batman.
Scroll down for more.

DC Collectible’s Clown Thug out of the box.

Unlike his boss Mr. J who has a face of a clown, this thug needs to wear a clown’s mask to look like a clown. Take a look at that weird looking eyes, it looks like his high on some drugs.

Arkham City logo printed on the shirt.

Check out his boots and pants nice detail and texture. The dry brushing exposed most of the detail, so that’s a plus.

The baseball bat is a nice accessory. The engraved wood detail makes it look real. Check out the engravings “Gothamville SLUGGO”.

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY SERIES 3: AZRAEL

Here is Azrael from DC Collectibles Batman Arkham City series 3. Again I have not played the game so I don’t know what role Azrael played in it. As far as comic books go, I don’t think that Azrael has appeared in DC’s New 52 series. But we know that he became famous during the Knightfall story. In the Knightfall story, Bruce Wayne was badly injured from his battle against the monster Bane. Jean Paul Valley took the mantel as Batman and became Azrael. But because of his brutal ways Bruce was forced to come back and take over the role of Batman.

Azrael came with a sword and scabbard. Like other DC Direct figures, Azrael has limited articulation. But the selling point for Azrael is the amount of detail in him.

Take a look at the sculpted design in his shoulder armor.
The shoulder piece can be moved up ward to allow movement.

Another beautifully detailed piece of armor.

Head sculpt of Azrael.

Here is the other arm of Azrael.

Closer look at Azrael’s torso.
