BATMAN ARKHAM CITY SERIES 3: PENGUIN

For tonight’s review will be taking a look at Arkham City Series 3 Penguin. Penguin is the second figure in the series that I got. The figure is extremely detailed and has good paint job. As for the articulation he only has a few but the detail, sculpt and paint application makes up for the lack of articulation. I don’t play with my collection so I prefer detail rather than articulation. Let’s take a closer look at Mr. Penguin.

Nice art base from the game Batman Arkham City

Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot a.k.a. The Penguin

Penguin without his top hat. Check out the cigar on his hand. Nice dry brush to bring out extra detail on the figures coat and vest.

Nicely sculpted face for Mr. Cobblepot, it really captures the way he looked in the game. Check out the wrinkles and even the paint apps for the eyes.

Penguin came with three accessories. His signature weapon an umbrella, his top hat and lastly his cigar. If you look closely the tip of the umbrella is painted red, maybe to simulate blood from one of Mr. Cobblepot’s victim.

Back view of the figure. The coat his wearing has a nice rough texture, so that’s a plus side with regards to detail. The figure has only a few points of articulation. The head can move side to side, his shoulders are movable as well as the wrist.

Don’t mess with The Penguin boy!

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY SERIES 3: BATMAN

Batman Arkham City is the sequel to the best selling game Batman Arkham Asylum. Both games are top notch and are highly praised by gamers. The game was so successful that DC made a comic book series based on the hit game Arkahm City as well as an impressive line of collectible action figure. Here is DC’s Batman Arkham City Series 3: Batman.

Close up of the upper torso and the head sculpt of the figure.

Batman's detailed gloves and his trusty utility belt. Nice paint application as well. The spikes on his gloves are made of soft material and due to its packaging it was slightly bent, will try to fix that later.

Batman only came with one accessory. I don’t have a clue what it is. But it looks like a chemical injector. Sorry I didn’t play the game.

Batman is not Batman without his cape.
The cape is made of molded soft rubbery material.

Batman’s boots, I think it is covered in some kind of armor.
Nice detail and paint application as well.

DC Collectibles Batman from The Arkham City series 3 collection.

All in all a nice and well detailed figure. Base from photos and video clips of the game, I say that the figure is very accurate. A nice addition to any Batman collection.
