MINI DAN BOARD AMAZON VERSION BY REVOLTECH

Another Dan Board added to my collection. This time its a smaller pocket size version of Dan Board also from the Revoltech toy line. Mini Dan Board is a copy of the standard version but in a smaller scale around three inches in height, the features like the light up eyes and joint articulation are similar. The only difference aside from the size is that the mini version does not have a spare head sculpt instead she came with a mini box just like the other revoltech figures.

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2011 WITH THE GANG

Every year we make our Christmas special with good food, cool gifts and our family. This time I tried to incorporate my hobby with one of the most anticipated holiday of the year. Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy the photos!

BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT DX02

As trailer regarding the third Batman movie spread on the Internet. Fans of the first two movie directed by Christopher Nolan staring actor Christian Bale as Batman are getting excited and is expecting to see the dark knight once more. While waiting for the new movie and possibly a new line of figures from Hot toys lets check out this Dark Knight DX02 figure.

Batman The Dark Knight was the 2nd part in the trilogy by Christopher Nolan.

Basic gear that batman carries include his utility belt, grappling gun and a small mine.

Batarang is a throwing weapon used by Batman.

It is similar to a ninja's throwing stars but is a shape of a bat.

One of Batman's asset is his extensive knowledge of hand to hand combat.

DX02 came with a HS with PERS and a HS with light up eyes.

Several extra hands and a figure base with lights were also included.

MAJOR RICHARD "DICK" WINTERS

Richard "Dick" Winters was made publicly famous by HBO's mini series Band of Brothers. The story of his group, Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division was the main focus of the story detailing their hardship and heroism.

During their boot camp days then 2nd Lt. Winters was a platoon leader in charge of the 2nd platoon. After being promoted to 1st Lt. he became an acting executive officer. During the invasion of Normandy 1st. Lt. Winters became acting CO of easy company due to the lost of Lt. Meehan. In his command the unit successfully destroyed Battery of  German Howitzers and in the process Lt. Winters got a map detailing German battery placements on Utah beach. This assault will be known as Brecourt Manor Assault and is still being studied at West Point. Following this event Lt. Winters was promoted to Captain and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. During operation market garden Capt. Winters lead 1st platoon against a German machine gun position. After the assault he became the battalion executive officer, a position usually held by a major. Captain Winters also took part in the Battle of the Bulge. After this event he was again promoted to major and became battalion commander. After defensive duties in the Rhine the group lead the way to Alpine retreat. They stayed there till the war ended.

For his actions in the Normandy Invasion and the Intel on the German Battery positions in Utah beach that he gathered, Major Winters was recommended for the Medal of Honor but was downgraded to a Distinguished Service Cross the 2nd highest medal of the US army. Many people made written petitions for him to receive the Medal of Honor but to this day has no result yet. I do hope that the major would receive his Medal of honor one day.

SGT. EVERSMANN BY DAM

The book Black hawk down was written by Mark Bowden and was made to a motion picture in 2001.
The film was produced and directed by Ridley Scott. It tells the story of The Battle in Mogadishu. The main focus of the film are the men of the Delta force and rangers who was task to capture the warlord's lieutenants. It was supposed to be a quick snatch and grab mission that went bad and resulted in several casualties.

During this bloody event two black hawk choppers were shot down. In response two delta force sniper volunteered to secure a downed chopper. Their heroic attempt to provide support and perimeter defense for a downed Black hawk helicopter made them heroes and  was awarded the medal of honor but sadly it was given posthumously.

Dam is a new name in the 1/6th military world, but seeing this figure and its detail, i think this company has a lot of potential. This is the first figure they released. Staff Sargent Eversmann he was a Ranger and also leader of chalk 4.

He carried a M16a2 and several grenades.

He also had a radio, a PASGT helmet covered in the older six color desert pattern camo,

rappeling gloves (tan), a ranger green gloves and a strobe.

In the last part of the moving he used the strobe to mark enemy position.

Also included were two water canteen and pouch.

The canteen's cap can be remove.

Ammo pouch to hold his M16 mags.

This clips attach the pouches to the belt.

Looking at the excellent work done in this figure I'm really looking forward to their next release.

Teaser of the second figure was out and he is also a member of chalk 4. I would really like for DAM to release more figures from the Black hawk down movie.

US ARMY RANGER GUNNER BY CRAZY DUMMY

The US Army Ranger is an elite light infantry unit. They are part of the US army special operations command. Ranger's trace their lineage from way before the second world war. To be a member of the elite army rangers a soldier must not only qualify for ranger school but is required to complete ranger schooling. Upon finishing the course a soldier becomes a ranger and receives his ranger tab.

Crazy Dummy first released a Navy Seal gunner before this Army Ranger. At the time i taught that every sixth scale figure company was making SEAL's so i opted to wait for other military units to be released. Then came Crazy dummy with a Ranger figure. Yes, other companies have released rangers before but not as numerous as the SEAL's and so another ranger figure is a welcome addition. So here he is Crazy Dummy Ranger Gunner in Afghanistan.

The figure came with a padded under shirt to bulk up mostly the upper part of the body.

I guess you need extra muscles to carry a bigger weapon.

( a muscle body would be better of course)

This guy came with a left drop down holster for his M9 pistol with retention cord.

Left handed equipment are harder to find, so good job to Crazy dummy for giving us one.

Fully kitted vest includes two grenade pouch, shotgun ammo pouch, radio pouch, two SAW 100 round pouch, two SAW 200 round pouch assault pack with hydration system, first aid pouch.

He also came with a triple m4 mag pouch but i didn't include it as he does not use a M4.

He also carried a tourniquet and some light sticks

His MICH 2000 helmet with tons of goodies attached to it.

He had a PVS15 NVG, E49P LED light and helmet LED light.

At the back of the MICH 2000 helmet is a battery pack for his NVG.

He also had a Strobe light on top of his helmet.

Only down side is that Crazy Dummy did not add the rough part of the velcro

to attache the battery and strobe, luck me I have spares.

It came with a AN/PEQ-15 aiming  laser, a tango grip and a Dr Sight with red dot.
