DC UNIVERSE CLASSIC HAWKMAN

When archaeologist Carter Hall recalls his past life as an Egyptian Prince, he also noticed that his former arch enemy priest Hath-Seth was also reincarnated in this life time. Carter uses the Nth metal to give him the ability to fly as well as giving him super strength among other abilities. The belt, harness, wings and boots all contain the Nth metal which Carter controls using his mind. So why the Hawk costume? Carter Hall fashioned himself as the avatar of the Egyptian God Horus which is a Hawk, thus becoming Hawkman. I think that’s enough introductions for the character now on to the toy.

Full view of Carter's Nth metal wings.
The wings are what made me buy the figure. It has nice detail and articulation as well.

Well made head sculpt of Hawkman.

Hawkman came with a lot of accessories for a DCUC figure.
He carried his trusty mace and shield.

He also carried a sword as a secondary weapon.

MARVEL SELECT COLOSSUS

Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin more popularly known as X-men’s Colossus, was created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum. He was first introduced way back 1975 on X-Men #1. Colossus is a very unique character, for offense he has incredible amount of strength probably the strongest member of the X-men physically. But on the other hand Piotr can transform his body into an indestructible metallic form giving him a defense that is also probably the toughest among the X-Men team. A classic match for Colossus was Cain Marko a.k.a. The Juggernaut. At some point in the Marvel Universe Colossus took the mantel of the Juggernaut making him the unstoppable Colossus. This is mostly bad news but Piotr has a kind heart. Even hosting Cyttorak he can manage to control the urge to destroy everything and anything. Thus Colossus as juggernaut is way better than Cain Marko as the evil juggernaut. Enough talk lets meet Marvel Select’s Colossus in his classic X-Men uniform.

Colossus escaping his box and finally getting some air.
Although in his metal form he can survive without food, water and air.

The figure is nicely painted with no paint errors visible so far.
Colossus’s upper shirt can be removed if you wanted, but the lower half can't so why bother. Another thing is that I don't want to break his head hahaha.

In the comic books Colossus is a serious and shy person.
This head sculpt depicts his personality very well.

Colossus had no accessories but came with a back ground or stand.

Juggernaut and Colossus nemesis for life but best buds in my shelf.

MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE KITBASH

It’s been awhile since I last posted a 1/6 scale figure so I decided to kitbash one for this month.
I decided to put together this simple USMC MEF soldier. The idea was inspired by the figure released by Hot Toys back when they still manufactured military models. Check him out and I hope you like him.
I planned a simple load out for this figure. For his side arm a standard M92 beretta 9mm pistol. And the usual ammo pouch to carry his extra mags. I Also added magpul to his magazine.

Some smoke bomb for signaling. Added the USMC frog balaclava together with MICH helmet.

Basic tan suit with tan boots and knee pads for him. Pretty standard gear for a soldier.

His M4 with reflex sight.

Added a pointer for his M4
